Aguilar Chan has appealed against her conviction and sentence for incitement to subvert state power, with the Judiciary's website showing that the hearing of the case has yet to be scheduled. The court earlier sentenced her to 7 years and 3 months' imprisonment, while in the same case Lee Cheuk-yan was sentenced to 7 years and Albert Ho to 5 years and 2 months, and the Alliance was fined $1.5 million.
