Hang Seng Index up 188 points at midday to 24,228, tech index rises nearly 1%

The Hang Seng Index closed at midday at 24,228, up 188 points, a gain of about 0.8%, with morning turnover on the main board exceeding $54 billion. The tech index stood at 4,220, up nearly 0.9%; among ATMXJ, apart from Meituan which was unchanged, the rest gained between nearly 1% and nearly 3%. AI large-model stocks performed well, with Zhipu up 8%, while WuXi Biologics and Sino Biopharmaceutical rose more than 4%.
