Andrew Chui: Tour coaches must transfer to other vehicles to reach Huanggang Port; industry hopes for direct access for passengers and vehicles

Travel Promotion Society director Andrew Chui said tour coaches cannot reach Huanggang Port directly, and passengers must transfer to franchised buses or cross-border through coaches. According to his understanding, 20 to 30 tour groups are using Huanggang Port to travel to the Mainland today, while around 20 Mainland tour groups heading south to Hong Kong through the rebuilt port. The Travel Industry Council had previously hoped with the Transport Department for direct access for passengers and vehicles, but this is constrained by the limited area of the port's public transport interchange.
