Rat Infestation on Slope at Tai Loong Street in Kwai Chung; Reporter Spots 6 to 7 Rats Scurrying at Dawn as Residents Urge Authorities to Follow Up

A rat infestation has appeared on a slope near a sitting-out garden at Tai Loong Street in Kwai Chung, with footage circulating online of multiple rats scurrying about. A reporter from this newspaper observed the scene in the early hours of today and saw about 6 to 7 rats chasing each other among the grass and mud within minutes, with more than 10 rat holes on the slope; rats were later found foraging openly outside a refuse collection point, unafraid of passers-by. Residents urge the authorities to follow up rigorously.
