Judiciary Again Urges Public to Beware of Fake District Court Summons Emails

The Judiciary has again received enquiries from members of the public saying they received fake emails purportedly issued by the Registrar of the District Court and attached with purported summonses, and today again urged the public to beware, saying they should contact the police if in doubt. The emails were sent from different email domains, one of the accounts being "[email protected]". The Judiciary stressed that neither the emails nor the summonses were issued by it, has reported the matter to the police, and reiterated that summonses are only served by post or by hand and will not be issued electronically.
