Tai Po Fire Independent Committee Submits Final Report on Thursday

The independent committee investigating the fatal Tai Po fire will submit its final report to the Hong Kong government on Thursday, with sources saying the judge-led panel is expected to broadly endorse the lead counsel's scathing closing submissions. A redacted version of the committee's report is planned for release next week, with some information possibly withheld to avoid affecting criminal proceedings related to the worst residential fire in 10 years.
