MTR Reveals Linked Faults Behind Two Incidents at Lam Tin Station Within 15 Hours

The MTR says two service incidents at Lam Tin Station within 15 hours this month are linked, with a preliminary investigation finding that a failed rubber insulating component caused a short circuit and fire, which in turn overloaded a cable joint. The MTR set out these investigation findings in a document submitted to the Legislative Council Panel on Transport.
