Colliers: Sha Tin Siu Lai Yuen Student Accommodation Site Is First Offering, Reflecting Policy Response to Market Needs

The government will offer the student accommodation site at Siu Lai Yuen, Sha Tin, this quarter. Winnie Lee, Head of Research and Retail Advisory at Colliers Hong Kong, said the site is near The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong and close to MTR City One Station and Shek Mun Station, making it the most attractive of the three sites the government plans to launch, and helping to ease demand for accommodation among postsecondary students; releasing sites in phases also reflects policy gradually responding to market needs.
