Securities and Futures Commission to launch retail fund regulatory optimisation measures next month

The Securities and Futures Commission announced that it will implement a number of recommendations set out in the consultation conclusions to refine Hong Kong's regulatory regime for SFC-authorised retail funds. The regulatory optimisation measures relating to the Code on Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds are scheduled to take effect in November 2026, with the authorities stating that the measures aim to protect investors and align Hong Kong's regulatory framework with international standards.
