Transport Department explains to taxi trade arrangements for picking up passengers entering and leaving Huanggang Control Point
The Transport Department has explained to the taxi trade the detailed arrangements for picking up passengers at Huanggang Control Point, covering management of queuing, crowd dispersal and taking queue tickets. Empty urban and New Territories taxis, as well as drivers of fleet taxis with existing booked trips, must first take a queue ticket at the public transport buffer zone and proceed in order to the taxi stand at the control point and the exclusive boarding area for fleet taxis. Passengers with bookings should first go to the service station at the waiting area in the building to show their vehicle plate number for registration, and then board the vehicle in accordance with the information displayed on the screen.
The explanation sets out the process whereby empty taxis take a queue ticket and board passengers in order, and passengers with bookings go first to the waiting area to register, so that passengers and drivers can check the arrangements upon arrival.
