HK Electric plans new substation on Lok Man Road in Chai Wan, residents of nearby Lok Tsui Terrace object

HK Electric plans to build a new substation on a site of about 2,300 square metres between Lok Man Road and Tai Man Street in Chai Wan, drawing opposition from residents of nearby Lok Tsui Terrace. Residents previously wrote to the Planning Department and HK Electric, asking them to withdraw the site selection and release the site comparison report. HK Electric replied that, after discussions with government departments, it considered the site more suitable and feasible, and would hold a residents' briefing next Wednesday evening.
