Reuters: 600,000 Nvidia AI Chips Pile Up in Hong Kong as Beijing Has Not Approved Mass Imports

Reuters, citing people familiar with the matter, says about 600,000 advanced Nvidia AI chips are currently stored in Hong Kong awaiting shipment to mainland China, but Beijing has still not approved mass imports. In recent months China has allowed some chips to enter, with major internet companies each receiving about 10,000 H200 chips, and small quantities have also flowed in through intermediaries and indirect channels.
