Abby Choi case continues in High Court: Choi's mother says Leung family threatened her upon learning of flat sale, admits owing Leung Kong-chi $150,000

The Abby Choi murder case resumed in the High Court on the 12th. Choi's mother, Zhang Yanhua, testified that Choi was threatened by the Leung family after she planned to sell her Kadoorie Hill flat in 2022, and denied that Leung Kong-chi agreed to the sale of the flat. The defence, citing chat records, said she owed Leung Kong-chi $150,000; she admitted this was true, but said she had never asked for money when buying things for Leung Kong-chi in the past.
