Mabel Chan: Hong Kong Has Signed 87 Bilateral Civil Aviation Documents, Cargo Volume Up 3.3% in First Three Quarters

Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mabel Chan, replying to a question in the Legislative Council, said Hong Kong has so far signed 87 bilateral civil aviation documents, and the Airport Authority's aviation network expansion plan has attracted 40 airlines to launch 95 new routes. In the first three quarters of this year, airport cargo volume reached 3.78 million tonnes, up 3.3 per cent year on year. She said commercial opportunities are important when choosing aviation partners, and Hong Kong is seeking closer trade ties with places such as Brazil, Peru and Kazakhstan.
