Tree Felling for Peak Light Installation Sparks Discontent as Tourism Board Pledges to Review Plan

The Hong Kong Tourism Board has pledged to review a light installation project along a walking trail at the Peak after complaints that plants and trees were cut down to make space for the facilities. In a statement, the board said it values residents' views and will carry out broader consultation, while stressing it had consulted local residents and tree experts to reduce environmental impact.
