John Lee: Whether principal officials will be held accountable over Wang Fuk Court fire, detailed announcement to be made in due course

Responding to whether any principal officials will be reassigned and held accountable over the Wang Fuk Court fire, John Lee said the independent committee must first submit its report, after which comprehensive reforms and accountability measures will be implemented in the short term, with a detailed announcement to be made in due course. He said three working groups were set up immediately after the fire, respectively responsible for investigating and strengthening regulation, coordinating fundraising and support, and arranging emergency accommodation and long-term proper resettlement for victims.
