AFCD Special Enforcement Operation Captures 10 Dogs, Clarifies "4-Day Convenience Culling" Is Not Fact

The AFCD launched a special inspection and enforcement operation from mid-September to mid-October, capturing a total of 10 unaccompanied dogs, which are now under observation at the Animal Management Centre and will be handed over to animal welfare organisations for rehoming if unclaimed. The department clarified that the local claim of "4-day convenience culling" is not fact, and that the 4 days stipulated by law is only the statutory period for enquiries and tracing owners, with humane handling considered only when a dog has a serious illness or is clearly aggressive.
