HSBC raises cash rebate on large mortgages to 1.5%

HSBC has again raised the cash rebate ratio for large mortgages, with the rebate on loans of $6 million or more raised to 1.45%, and loans of $14 million or more increased to 1.5%. The increase does not distinguish between fixed-rate and HIBOR-linked mortgages, with both types eligible for the higher rebate. At the end of last month, HSBC had cut the cash rebate on fixed-rate mortgages to 1.25%, while keeping that for HIBOR-linked mortgages at 1.3%.
