Tikehau Says Asia Private Equity Has Room to Grow, Plans to Hire More Staff in Hong Kong

Louis d'Estienne d'Orves, Tikehau's head of Asia-Pacific, says Asian pension funds allocate about 7 per cent of assets to private assets, far below nearly 40 per cent in the US, reflecting significant room for growth. The firm's client AUM in Hong Kong has grown 30 per cent year on year since the start of this year, and it plans to hire 2 more Hong Kong fundraising staff by the end of the year to 4, expecting AUM to double in the next one to two years.
