The Financial Secretary said in his blog that the second phase of consumption vouchers will be disbursed on the day, benefiting about 6.5 million people, of whom about 1 million Octopus users were unable to collect them on time because the amount of the first-phase vouchers had not been fully spent on eligible consumption; those who meet the requirement before the end of the month can collect them on the 16th of next month. This phase will inject about $13 billion of spending power into retail and catering.
