Hong Kong commercial banks continue to launch offers during the Golden Week to attract mainland visitors, in response to Beijing tightening cross-border investment rules and imposing a 20% levy on overseas investment or insurance proceeds. HSBC is offering new premium customers rewards of up to HK$88,000, along with experiences such as National Day fireworks dinner and tickets to the China Open tennis tournament in Beijing or K-pop concerts.
