Legislative Council Question 19: Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau Replies on Public Swimming Pool Facility Improvements

Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law, in a written reply to Legislative Council member Chan Chun-ying, said the Leisure and Cultural Services Department has provided electronic payment options including Faster Payment System, PayMe, Alipay and WeChat Pay at public swimming pools across Hong Kong since 30 September 2024. On the suggestion of smart lockers, the LCSD said it will consider improvement or replacement works in a timely manner according to the equipment conditions and actual needs of individual venues. The LCSD also said it will study improvement options for hand dryers together with engineering departments, and install or replace suitable equipment in accordance with established procedures.
