Peak Walking Trail Light Project Draws Public Concern as Tourism Board Says It Will Consult Widely

The Tourism Board is installing lighting fixtures at some spots along walking trails around Lugard Road and Harlech Road on the Peak, with plans to launch a light-and-shadow effect project in the evening for a 12-month trial. The project has drawn public concern before its launch, and the Tourism Board says it will conduct wider consultation, review the overall arrangements and improve details, so as to strike a better balance between tourism development, protection of the natural environment and residents' needs, with the latest arrangements to be announced in due course.
