Fire breaks out at MTR Lam Tin Station; some passengers saw crowds heading for exits and realised something had happened

MTR said the fire beside the tracks near Lam Tin Station had been dealt with and Kwun Tong Line train services were gradually returning to normal. One affected passenger said that at the time they saw crowds heading towards the exits, and only learned online that a fire had broken out inside the station. They also said they had asked staff whether there were shuttle buses, but the reply was unclear. Another passenger's journey was delayed by about 5 to 10 minutes.
