議員倡廣東院舍計劃擴至殘疾人士和照顧者家庭 推動共居模式
Social welfare functional constituency legislator Chan Man-yee suggested extending the Guangdong Province residential care services scheme, originally designed for elderly persons, to persons with disabilities and families with long-term care needs, promoting co-living between carers and care recipients. In September, she led a delegation to inspect care homes in the Greater Bay Area, visiting care homes with barrier-free rooms that were willing to receive Hong Kong service users, while Hong Kong had no space. Chan Man-yee has already begun discussions with the Social Welfare Department, with the next step being to arrange a meeting with the Labour and Welfare Bureau for consultation.
