Land Registry Announces 10% Month-on-Month Fall in October Building Sales Contracts

The Land Registry announces that there were 5,795 building sales contracts in October, down 10 per cent month on month and down 19.4 per cent year on year, with a total value of $50 billion. Residential building sales contracts accounted for 4,512, down 5.2 per cent month on month and down 21 per cent year on year, with a total value of $42.3 billion. During the month, members of the public conducted 418,352 searches, down 9.6 per cent month on month and up 6.6 per cent year on year.
