Abby Choi case continues at High Court; defence questions Zhang Yanhua's statement for not mentioning Kwong Kau's threats to beat and kill

The Abby Choi case resumed at the High Court on 8, when during her testimony, her mother Zhang Yanhua was challenged by the defence for not mentioning Kwong Kau's threats to "beat and kill" in her police statement. She responded that many years had passed and she did not want to bring up sad matters again. Documents showed that Abby had approximately HK$5.40 million across DBS and Citibank, and the defence questioned whether she had sufficient cash to purchase property. Zhang reiterated that her daughter did not lie.
