MTR Kwun Tong Line Services Disrupted for About an Hour Due to Smoke From Platform Equipment at Lam Tin Station

MTR said Kwun Tong Line train services were disrupted for about an hour due to smoke from equipment on the platform at Lam Tin Station, during which Lam Tin Station was temporarily closed. MTR arranged free shuttle buses between Kwun Tong Station and Yau Tong Station, and deployed extra staff at Kwun Tong Station to assist passengers. One passenger said their journey was delayed by more than ten minutes, while a Lam Tin resident hoped MTR would investigate the cause of the incident thoroughly.
Explains that services were disrupted for about an hour, Lam Tin Station was temporarily closed, and free shuttle buses and other alternative arrangements were provided, allowing affected passengers to check the travel options available at the time.
