Government: MTR Has No Plans to Adjust Existing MTR Concessionary Station Measures; Chu Lik-wai Fears Lack of Consultation Before Reductions

Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan said MTR currently has no plans to adjust the existing MTR concessionary station measures. When responding to a district councillor's suggestion to add concessionary stations in September this year, MTR said the role and effectiveness of concessionary stations had changed and it would assess their "sustainability". DAB Legislative Council member Chu Lik-wai raised a written question, expressing concern over whether MTR would consult the Legislative Council and the public before reducing or abolishing the measures.
