Hotstone Yoga closes all branches; customers say staff knew in advance but kept mum and were still selling classes days earlier

The chain yoga and fitness centre Hotstone Yoga will close all branches starting today (1 October). At least about 500 members said they had paid for classes they were unable to attend and feared it would be difficult to recover the money. Notices from a law firm were posted at branches, requiring claimants to email supporting documents, and staff would be paid by 5 October at the latest. Customers said some staff knew about the news in advance but kept mum and were still promoting sales days earlier, and Customs had received reports.
