Centre for Food Safety Tests 166 Samples of Imported Japanese Aquatic Products, All Radiation Levels Within Limits

The Centre for Food Safety has tested 166 samples of imported Japanese "aquatic products and their products, seaweed and sea salt" from noon on 26 October to noon today, and none were found to have radiation levels exceeding safety standards. Over the same period, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department tested 50 samples of local fishery products, all of which passed; the Observatory has also strengthened monitoring of environmental radiation levels in Hong Kong waters and found no abnormalities.
