Dentist Lau Yuk-cheung permanently struck off

The Dental Council decided to permanently strike off dentist Lau Yuk-cheung, finding that he failed to maintain his practice premises in a condition suitable for practice and did not take proper measures to control cross-infection. Health Department staff received a complaint in 2021 and inspected his clinic, finding extracted teeth, broken dentures and other items placed near the autoclave in the sterilisation room, putting sterilised instruments at risk of contamination, while sterilised instruments in a drawer were also poorly packaged.
