29-year-old man contracts monkeypox, Centre for Health Protection says it is taking multi-pronged approach to cut off chains of transmission

One new confirmed monkeypox case in Hong Kong, a 29-year-old man in stable condition, has been sent to Princess Margaret Hospital for isolation treatment, with clinical samples testing positive for the monkeypox virus. He had high-risk sexual contact with men during the incubation period. The Centre for Health Protection said that in recent months, more than half of the cases involved finding unfamiliar sexual partners through dating apps, and contact tracing was not possible for some cases, urging the public to keep contact details of their sexual partners.
