Christopher Hui to visit Italy and Switzerland to attend global precious metals conference and visit gold refineries

Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui will depart tomorrow evening for Italy and Switzerland to attend the Global Precious Metals Conference 2026 and visit several refineries that refine internationally standard gold. Eddie Chan Ping-keung, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Precious Metals Clearing Corporation Limited, will accompany him. Hui will return to Hong Kong on the 8th of this month; during his absence, Deputy Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Joseph Chan will act as Secretary.
