The case of Abby Choi continued in the High Court. Detective Ko Yan-kei, the officer responsible for contacting the victim's family, testified and denied discussing case details with Cheung Yen-fa while she was giving evidence, saying he contacted her because the police needed to investigate new information. Ko reiterated that he could not discuss case details with Cheung but needed to contact her to notify her of matters such as attending court, and that the scope of their conversations would be limited. He also believed whether Cheung Yen-fa owned a property at Whampoa Garden was not the focus of the murder case.
