Hotstone Yoga shuts all outlets; members say victims' group has 500 people; cleaner claims company demanded silence

Yoga chain Hotstone Yoga ceased operations across all its outlets yesterday, with notices posted at its 7 branches asking claimants to email supporting documents, and stating that staff salaries were intended to be paid by the 5th of this month. A member said at least about 500 people had bought class packages but had not attended classes, with one person spending nearly $30,000 on 150 classes. Several victims said centre staff had continued to aggressively promote package renewals right up until the closure.
