Lam Tin Station Fire and Smoke Within 24 Hours; Government Orders MTR to Submit Investigation Report Within One Month

Lam Tin Station experienced fires and smoke within 24 hours, and the government has asked MTR to submit an investigation report within one month. MTR announced at 8:56am this morning that equipment on the Lam Tin Station platform was emitting smoke. During the incident, Kwun Tong Line trains did not stop at Lam Tin Station. MTR arranged free shuttle buses running between Kwun Tong and Yau Tong stations.
