Animal Welfare Concern Alliance Releases First-Half Intake Data for 5 Organisations, Receiving 318 Dogs and 251 Cats in Total

The Animal Welfare Concern Alliance released figures showing that 5 animal welfare organisations received a total of 318 dogs and 251 cats in the first half of this year, most from Yuen Long District, North District and Tuen Mun District. Of the 465 cases with a known place of origin in the New Territories, about half came from the Northern Metropolis area. The alliance said the cases cannot be attributed to Northern Metropolis development, and the data may not reflect the overall situation in Hong Kong.
