Abby Choi's mother testifies in court, says former brother-in-law got HK$2m to open egg waffle shop

Cheung Yen-wah, mother of murdered Hong Kong socialite Abby Choi, testified in court that her daughter's former brother-in-law Kwok Kong-kei was a "shoe polisher" who persuaded her daughter to invest HK$2m to open an egg waffle shop and hire him as a driver. She said Kwok frequently asked her daughter for money in the months before Choi's death, and later allegedly conspired with her father and younger brother to murder her in February 2023.
