Financial Secretary to Attend International Conference in Thailand Tomorrow

Financial Secretary Paul Chan will travel to Bangkok, Thailand, tomorrow morning, as a member of the Chinese delegation, to attend the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, and will attend the Annual Meetings Plenary on Friday. During his stay, he will attend a roundtable co-organised by the IMF and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, exploring investment and fundraising opportunities for Middle Eastern and Central Asian economies utilising Hong Kong's markets, and will also join a dialogue organised by Bloomberg and the Atlantic Council. Paul Chan will return to Hong Kong from Bangkok on Saturday morning. During his absence, Deputy Financial Secretary Christopher Hui will act as Financial Secretary.
