QS has released the 2027 Asia University Rankings. The University of Hong Kong retains the top spot, while City University ranks fourth in Asia, overtaking the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to become second in Hong Kong. For the first time on record, 11 publicly funded and self-financed universities in Hong Kong have entered Asia's top 500. QS says Hong Kong institutions are strong in internationalisation, but notes declining scores in the international students and international faculty indicators at 7 Hong Kong universities.
