Social Welfare Concern Group survey: half of people recovering from mental illness dissatisfied with housing and employment support

AI briefing

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service and the CUHK Faculty of Medicine's Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care published a survey yesterday, showing that half of users of community mental health services are dissatisfied with housing and employment support. The Social Welfare Concern Group believes this reflects possible shortcomings in the referral process by case managers, and hopes that government departments and Integrated Community Centres for Mental Health will strengthen coordination, as well as enhance housing and employment support measures.
