Survey Finds Hong Kong Pay Growth Slows as Guangdong Accelerates

Hong Kong Baptist University published its 2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Pay and Benefits Survey on Thursday, showing that pay rises at Hong Kong and Macao companies slowed this year while pay growth in Guangdong accelerated. The survey also found that the gap between university graduates' starting salaries and those of sub-degree holders narrowed.
