New Huanggang Port opens this morning; Shenzhen expects long-term daily passenger flow of over 300,000; one-stop service centre set up ahead of APEC

The new Huanggang Port opened this morning. Shenzhen's Municipal Port Office said the old port handled about 50,000 passenger trips daily, while the new port can initially handle 100,000 to 200,000 passenger trips per day, with the long-term figure exceeding 300,000. The new port made special preparations in response to the APEC summit and has set up a one-stop service centre. Chief Executive John Lee said the new port would enable more efficient flows of people, goods, capital and information between the two places.
