Illegal immigrants with release warrants commit serious offences; Tang Ka-piu urges deportation

Tang Ka-piu, member of the Legislative Council Panel on Security, proposed that the government should consider deporting illegal immigrants holding "release warrants" who commit serious offences, noting that crime in Sham Shui Po has long been a concern in society. He added that if non-ethnic Chinese Hong Kong residents are involved in cases due to economic hardship, the government can support them in employment and improve community childcare arrangements, thereby unlocking the labour force of non-ethnic Chinese people.
