Police from the Hong Kong Island Regional Emergency Unit, together with units from Western, Central, Wan Chai and Eastern districts, launched a multi-day cross-department joint anti-burglary operation across several districts on Hong Kong Island from 30 September. Police said the long holiday was a peak period for burglary cases, and the operation also deployed the Hong Kong Island Regional drone team and the Government Flying Service.
