Auditor acquitted of indecent assault on woman in MTR train; judge says victim's testimony could not be accepted as fully reliable

A serving auditor was charged with indecently assaulting a woman on an MTR Tuen Ma Line train in 2024, and was today found not guilty of the charge of indecent assault at Kowloon City Magistracy. Magistrate Chan Chi-fai said the victim had not mentioned certain details of the incident when first giving a statement, leaving the court unable to determine what had happened, and acquitted the defendant on the basis that the benefit of the doubt should go to the accused.
