HKSAR Government Strongly Condemns US Consulate General in Hong Kong for Political Manipulation in Joshua Wong Case

The HKSAR government strongly condemns and opposes remarks by the spokesman of the US Consulate General in Hong Kong and Macao on the sentencing in the Joshua Wong case, calling them groundless attacks and smears and political manipulation, and demands that the other side stop meddling in Hong Kong's work to safeguard national security. A government spokesman said Joshua Wong had pleaded guilty, including conspiring with fugitive Nathan Law and others to beg foreign countries to sanction China and Hong Kong, and the court sentenced Joshua Wong to 10 years' imprisonment.
