私隱公署發布有關智能眼鏡指引 倡只收集所需資料及避免持續攝錄
AI briefing
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data has issued guidelines on smart glasses to help the public understand the privacy risks that may arise from misuse of the devices. Commissioner Ada Chung Lai-ling said smart glasses can take photos, record video or record audio without others easily noticing, increasing the risk of excessive or covert collection of personal data, and the data may also be analysed by AI systems. The guidelines advise reading the supplier's privacy policy before use, reviewing privacy settings, avoiding recording in places such as hospitals and changing rooms, and collecting only the necessary data.
