Buildings Department investigates reinforcement discrepancies at One Stanley in Stanley; developer pledges serious follow-up

The Buildings Department is investigating reinforcement quality issues at detached houses at One Stanley in Stanley, finding that the protective layer of a beam on a lower ground floor did not have wire mesh installed in accordance with the drawings, and that the reinforcement configuration of some floor slabs did not conform to the drawings. The department said the overall building structure showed no obvious danger, and that any violations found would be seriously followed up, including the initiation of prosecutions. Developer Kai Chi Holdings Limited said it had begun verification and was cooperating with the investigation.
